The Ladybug Music Festival returns to Market Street in Wilmington on Friday, May 30, 2025, with over 30 artists from all over the country celebrating women in music. More info at theladybugfestival.com
This is a rain or shine event produced by Gable Music Ventures since 2012. The Ladybug Music Festival has always featured its signature all-women-fronted music lineup, taking over a two-block area of Market Street in Wilmington for an evening of incredible, diverse music and support of the local business economy. It is free to attend.
The Main Stage will be situated on the 400 block, with additional venues: The Crown at The Queen, Willingtown Square, 5th Street Stage, Merchant Bar, Huxley & Hiro and The Quoin’s Rooftop Lounge. These businesses will throw open their doors to host a diverse selection of talent, not only from the Wilmington and Greater Philadelphia area, but as far as New York, Tennessee and Florida.
This year’s headliner is indie-alternative pop-rocker Margaret Glaspy, whose recent EP The Sun Doesn’t Think (ATO) follows her critically acclaimed album Echo The Diamond, which garnered praise from The New York Times, NPR, The New Yorker, and Rolling Stone. Other artists on the bill include Philadelphia Alt-rockers KOSER, Georgia R&B/ Blues group AE the Cool, Grammy-nominated Blues-rock voice Martha Wash, trailblazing Latina/World singer-songwriter Eljuri, and many, many more.
The Festival kicks off at 4:15pm with DJ Shadylady spinning tunes on the Main Stage before the live music starts at 5:00pm.
See her spinning again for free at the official after-party, hosted at The Crown at The Queen at 10:30pm. Ladybug also features a variety of local artisan vendors, food trucks, live art, and libations to partake in.
