Head to the Tina Betz Urban Artist Exchange for a powerful evening of storytelling, music, and reflection as the 2025 Wilmington Black Storytelling Residency cohort takes the stage for their culminating performance. They will share original works inspired by this year’s theme: Voice of the Unbroken: Telling Our Truths, Shaping Our Future. Experience authentic voices, personal narratives, and artistic expressions that honor resilience, identity, and the transformative power of truth. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
This residency is based on the fundamental belief that Black Storytelling is Black Joy. The immersive learning environment of this seven-day residency was created to enable storytellers to deepen their understanding of the place of Black Storytelling as a tool to improve all aspects of the lived experiences of the Africans in the Diaspora.
