Description
In early 90s Florida, hilarious and loveable power couple Armond and Albert (played by Robin Williams and Nathan Lane) run The Birdcage, a fabulous and popular drag club. Other than the pains of aging, life seems perfect for them until Armond’s son announces his engagement to the daughter of a Republican senator (Gene Hackman) and his straight-laced wife (Dianne Wiest). A hilarious and heart-warming story follows as we see that all kinds of parents are willing to do just about annything for their kids’ happiness. You won’t believe how well this 1996 classic has aged, and how poignant it is today!
