La Pizzeria Metro owner Michael Tumolo first opened Cafe Riviera at the Concord Mall in 1981. After decades of serving traditional New York style pizza and Italian cuisines, he established La Pizzeria Metro to bring the very best in hand-crafted, wood-fired pizza to Wilmington’s local residential neighborhoods. His passion for pizza runs in the family, and son Daniel Tumolo, alongside business partner Alex Petrak, have taken over to create a neighborhood pizzeria where there’s traditional style with modern day passion.
