Explore Rockwood’s history with under-told stories of the founding Shipley and Bringhurst family!
Joseph Shipley (1795-1867), Mary Bringhurst (1865-1965), and Edward V. Bringhurst (1884-1939) all rejected the gender norms of their time and sought unique artistic, cultural, and aesthetic pursuits. Their ground-breaking legacies shaped the Rockwood of today.
