In addition to a reading of “Declaration of Independence,” this event centers how Black women used the energized language and legacy of the American Revolution to defy, define, and build two movements, as they lived under surveillance and developed self-affirming identities. Free event presented by Delaware Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society.
