Description
The best way to experience Auburn Heights is to attend a monthly Steamin’ Day! Climb into an antique automobile, board one of our 1/8-scale trains, and experience what travel was like at the turn of the 20th century. In partnership with Auburn Valley State Park, tour the magnificent 1897 mansion that was home to three generations of the Marshall family. You’ll find something for everyone, age 2 to 92!
Come out the first Sunday of every month, June through November, from 12:30 – 4:30 pm. Included with all admission options are:
- Rides in the antique autos and Auburn Valley Railroad (1/8-scale coal-fired and diesel trains)
- Entry into the Marshall Steam Museum, featuring the world’s largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars plus a working 1930s Lionel electric train display, exhibits, and gift shop
- Kids activities inside the museum
- Firing up demonstration to see how we set a steam car in motion (at 1:30 pm)
- Food trucks and fresh steam-popped popcorn from our vintage popper
- For a ticket add-on, tour Auburn Valley State Park’s 1897 mansion
Please note: We never let a little drizzle dampen our spirits, all events are rain or shine. No pets except service dogs.
General admission: $15/adult (13 and up), $10/child (1-12) and infants free. ACCESS Delaware card is also accepted. Mansion tour add-on: $8/adult (13 and up), $4/child (1-12) and infants free
