Description

In the early 20th century, an 18th-century gown was used to upholster a period settee, but the bodice (now in the collection) was retained. Learn how close observation, patterning, digital manipulation, and collection research helped us create a full-scale reproduction of the gown as well as how the settee was created from the original in this program presented by Margaret O’Neil, Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation Fellow.

Registration required. Free.

Note: this is a virtual lecture that begins at 10:30 am Eastern Time. Register now.
