Description
On this historical tour as you will explore the largest French inspired formal estate and gardens in North America, Nemours. The tour begins in the mansion for one hour then continues outside with a guided tour with one of the estate gardeners for two hours. You will explore past and present planting and garden designs, the history and legacy of founder Alfred I. duPont, and how the property has evolved throughout the years. Learn how the property is maintained, what plants they install for their seasonal displays, and how Alfred’s legacy is kept alive. Attendees will meet at Nemours Estate. Directions will be sent upon registration.
