As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, some of the connections the duPonts had with our country’s founding fathers, as well as some royals, will be the focus for this special tour. The tour starts at 9:30 a.m., but please arrive at 9:15 a.m.
Learn about the friendships between Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and the duPont family patriarch Pierre Samual duPont de Nemours. You’ll also hear about Jessie Ball duPont’s family connections and interests. Selected items from the collection not on display will be shown by Paula Phipps, our Manager of Collections & Special Interpretive Projects.
The tour will last 45 minutes to an hour. Tour is limited to 15 guests. Group will be shuttled from the entrance to the Mansion. Pre-registration is required. Price of tour includes admission to the rest of the Estate. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
