Description
Native plants fit beautifully into the landscape and are well suited to our local growing conditions. We will look at a variety of trees, shrubs, vines and perennials that are ideal for home gardens, providing color, texture, ecological services and seasonal interest throughout the year.
Nancy is the Education and Garden Coach Coordinator at Gateway Garden Center in Hockessin, DE. She has developed a lifelong fascination and passion for nature into a career in horticulture. Nancy has achieved Longwood Gardens Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture levels 1 and 2, and Certificate of Merit in Landscape Design. She is also a Delaware Certified Nursery Profession with specialties in Landscape Design and Retail. Her own yard is certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
