Join us for the 4th annual Mimosas for Marrow 5K run/walk—a joyful, heartfelt event that brings our community together to support families affected by blood cancers and disorders, and to honor the incredible strength of those searching for a lifesaving bone marrow donor.
Local moms, Sam and Brittany, driven by love and gratitude, founded this event after Sam’s daughter, Oakley, received a lifesaving bone marrow transplant in 2022. Oakley’s story fuels our mission to raise awareness and funds for NMDP (formally known as Be The Match) – the world’s largest and most diverse marrow donor registry.
Every 3-4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder. Time is crucial. A matching donor can be the only cure.
Over the past two years, the Mimosas for Marrow 5K has built a remarkable community, with over 2,000 registered participants, supportive small businesses, and numerous volunteers coming together to raise nearly $76,000. Our collective efforts have also led to the addition of 56 potential bone marrow donors to the registry, including two who have gone on to save lives.
