Description
This is an Art Exhibit of a body of 25 paintings that explore and examine the ways in which Hip-hop’s lyricists and superheroes project a hyperreality that both entertains and informs our society of the pervasive dark threats that plague us and the prolific and yet imaginative ways we can combat them. After 50 years, Hip-hop culture holds a place, like comic book pop culture, that deserves it’s icons celebrated, honored and immortalized. Andre Jones is one artist who has painted his homage to some of Hip-hop’s more notable heroes in this art exhibit.
