About Jahiti
Jahiti is a Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, and truth-teller whose music carries the pulse of the diaspora and the soul of the streets. Born in the Bronx and rooted in Wilmington, Delaware, Jahiti has been a steady, powerful voice in the indie music world since 1999. With a guitar in hand and a heart full of ancestral fire, his sound blends reggae, soul, folk, country, and world music into something beautifully unique and universally human.
A founding member of the legendary group Brown F.I.S.H., Jahiti’s voice has moved audiences from Baltimore’s grassroots venues to international stages. His songs speak of love and loss, freedom and faith, community and culture—always guided by a deep reverence for spirit, ancestry, and truth. Every lyric feels lived, every melody anchored in storytelling, and every performance a communion.
More than just a musician, Jahiti is a cultural cultivator. A former Director of Parks and Recreation, a breeder of miniature poodles, and a spiritual seeker with a strong connection to African history and philosophy—his life offstage is as rich and grounded as his music.
