Somerville Manning Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of paintings, Jon Redmond: Maundering. The show opens on October 20 and continues through November 11, 2023. An opening reception with the artist will be held on Friday, October 20th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.Jon Redmond received the Fellowship Award of Excellence at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2007. His work has been purchased by the Delaware Art Museum, The University of Delaware, West Chester University and several additional public and private collections. Redmond’s still life paintings and architectural works showcase the confidence of an artist intimately familiar with his subject matter while retaining a pure enchantment with light and form.After living in Massachusetts, Redmond has returned to the Brandywine Valley where he grew up. The paintings in Maundering are influenced by the artist’s exploration of his past haunts and his search for places that show the gritty patina of daily use, places that convey a feeling of home.
