The Delaware Contemporary is pleased to present an exhibition showcasing artwork created by students from Newark High School. Featuring a diverse selection of drawings, paintings, mixed media, and other creative explorations, the exhibition highlights the talent, dedication, and artistic voices emerging from one of Delaware’s vibrant secondary visual arts programs.
Throughout the school year, students developed technical skills while exploring personal ideas, contemporary themes, and new approaches to making art. The resulting exhibition reflects not only artistic achievement but also the creativity, critical thinking, and confidence fostered through arts education.
For many participating students, this exhibition marks their first opportunity to display their work in a professional contemporary art museum. By bringing classroom work into a public gallery, The Delaware Contemporary reaffirms its commitment to supporting arts education, cultivating young artists, and building meaningful partnerships with local schools.

This exhibition was curated by Joshua Hollingsworth, Director of Education at The Delaware Contemporary, in collaboration with Jaime Moore, Teacher, Christina School District Visual Arts District Chair, and Newark High School Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair.
Together, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for student artists through professional exhibition experiences and community engagement.
