Take some time to connect with other environmental advocates this Earth Day with the Delaware Sierra Club. There will be time to meet and reflect throughout this year’s virtual event.
They will have speakers coming to them from around the country and from right here in Delaware. The headline speaker will be talking about Environmental, Racial, and Social Justice.
They will also have Adam Rome, a prize-winning author and environmental historian who will educate us on the history of Earth Day, and Susan Love, Administrator of DNREC’s Climate and Sustainability Section who will discuss the relationship between transportation and climate change and what we can do about it. After their presentations, weโll have some time for Q&A as well.
During this yearโs Earth Day LIVE! event, they’ll will be giving thanks and recognition to some of the amazing climate and environmental justice warriors who have been tirelessly working to protect our planet and our people in 2019-2020.
Finally, they’ll end the event with the drawing of their E-Bike Raffle! What a better way to end Earth Day than to give someone the means to park that car in the driveway and explore the outdoors!
