EVENT UPDATE: To help ensure a safer and more comfortable celebration, the start time for Celebrate 250 on the Riverfront has been moved to 4:00 p.m. due to the forecasted heat.
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday on the Wilmington Riverfront!
Enjoy an afternoon and evening filled with live entertainment, family activities, local food and drinks, Delaware-made vendors, exhibits, and much more as we commemorate this historic milestone together. The celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the Christina River. Bring your family and friends to celebrate 250 years of American history right here in Wilmington.
Due to extreme heat, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra performance has been moved inside the Chase Center.ย
The DSO concert will still begin at 8pm, culminating with Tchaikovskyโs 1812 Overture and ending in time for attendees to exit The Chase Center and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display over the Christina River 10pm.
