The Wilmington Art Loop is a vibrant arts and culture mainstay. Since its inception in 1988, the Art Loop has been essential to downtown expansion and Wilmington’s creative community.
During the first Friday of each month*, the free, self-guided public event brings together art lovers and the community to the ever-evolving downtown and greater Wilmington areas. Art galleries, studios, museums, and alternative art spaces offer an opportunity to meet featured artists while enjoying refreshments and periodic entertainment.
The Art Loop Shuttle begins at 5:30pm and stops at 8:30pm. It starts at The Delaware Contemporary (TDC) and returns to the TDC after stopping at participating venues.
This is a free event and serves as the “opening night” for each artist exhibiting. Most venues have refreshments, some have live entertainment and all are free to enter and enjoy.

*If the first Friday falls near a holiday (e.g. Independence Day, New Year’s Day) then the Art Loop will run the following Friday.
