The Delaware Contemporary is pleased to showcase the cumulative work of our 2022-2023 Artists-in-Residence; Kasmira Cade-Seymour, Alejandro Leal, Shefon Taylor, and John Webb. These artists were selected for a year-long, fully-funded studio residency program that includes space in the Studios @ community, one-to-one mentorship, exhibition experience, and artist materials. The program focuses on connecting local, emerging artists with established artist networks and institutions. The cohort works with and learns from each other to develop their individual artistic talents within the larger art community in Wilmington, Delaware.
Artist Residency Cohort (ARC) reflects the importance The Delaware Contemporary places on investing in local artists. We define local as an area around the Great Arc of Delaware, delineating the 12-mile radius around New Castle. TDC is made up of artists, visitors, stakeholders, and communities that hug and blur this imaginary line. The ARC puts local, emerging artists in direct contact with TDC’s resources and artist networks.
