Description
Come and spend some time with WWRR behind-the-scenes and explore the rarely seen areas of their operation that are accessible only to their volunteers:
- View historic locomotives, coaches and cabooses up close
- Take a tour through the Engine House & Backshop
- Inspect the tools needed to maintain their steam locomotives
- Watch a track repair demonstration
- Meet with volunteers to learn about their passion for the railroad
You’ll park and check-in at Greenbank Station, and then the 1929 Pennsylvania Railroad “Doodlebug” railcar will shuttle you to and from the Marshallton Yard, where a volunteer will take you on a guided tour.
The registration fee includes the train ride to/from Marshallton Yard, the guided tour, and lunch consisting of a hot dog, chips and soda.
