Description

The Fourth Annual Diamond State Black Film Festival (DSBFF) will highlight works created by and featuring People of Color. Additionally, it hopes to inspire the next generation of filmmakers and showcase career opportunities in the film industry through a series of workshops, panel discussions and master classes.

This year’s schedule features

  • Opening Night: When We Free the World – Screening, filmmaker Q&A with Kevin Powell & Evandeline Lawson, and a catered reception.
  • Sentenced – A moving documentary exploring literacy and the justice system, followed by a local panel discussion.
  • Delaware Filmmakers Showcase – Highlighting local voices and stories from right here in the First State.
  • Following Harry – A touching portrait of Harry Belafonte’s final years and his legacy of activism.

Attendees get to enjoy 21 films, networking events, and an awards celebration recognizing outstanding achievements in film.
