Think your chili has what it takes to be the best? Bring your favorite recipe and compete for bragging rights at the Community Chili Cook-Off! Hosted by the City of Wilmington Department of Parks and Recreation at the William “Hicks” Anderson Community Center, this friendly competition invites staff, families, and community members to share their best chili creations. Awards will be presented for Best Overall Chili, People’s Choice, and Most Creative Chili.
The event takes place Tuesday, January 5, from 5–8 pm, with judging beginning at 6 pm and winners announced at 7:15 pm.
Participants must register by December 5, 2026. Chili must be fully cooked before arrival, contain no pork products, and be brought in a crockpot or electric warmer. Participants should prepare approximately 20–25 servings and provide an ingredient list identifying common allergens.
