As if cosmically enacted, every handful of years Neko Case breaks to the surface with a new album and reminds listeners that she is one of our greatest living songwriters – perpetually becoming more fearless and adventurous.

This has been true throughout her more than twenty-five-year career, during which her ferocious indie-rock and country-noir sound has swelled and shrunk to fit the mood, but the walloping impact of the universes she creates has never wavered.

Listening to Case’s music will teach you about this world— human nature’s cruelty, perseverance and terrifying beauty, but the natural world as well — the moon and the stars, bees, lions and magpies.

Should you encounter a wayward soul who has never heard her music, you might respond, “Well, she once sang from the perspective of a tornado,” as if to say: there’s no physical form that could stop her potent voice and evocative storytelling.

Prepare to be enthralled by the world’s premiere duo organists at their very first concert appearance in Delaware. Internationally acclaimed duo organists Elizabeth and Raymond Chenault, the 2024 AGO Distinguished Artist Award recipients, have curated a program of transcriptions and commissions for four hands (and four feet!) that will put the Westminster’s 3-manual, 53-rank Austin pipe organ through its paces. The concert will feature works by Charles Callahan, Raymond Chenault, Nicholas White and excerpts from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera.” A wine and cheese reception follows.

Have you thought about getting creative but not sure where to start? Jump into art journaling with this two-part workshop. In the first session, explore materials and techniques to make your own colorful papers, and what other scraps and found ephemera you might want to gather.

In the second session, explore several ways to assemble these materials into a personal journal. Journals can be spaces for written exploration, artistic exploration, testing new materials, or experimenting with techniques.

No experience necessary, materials provided and the only thing you need to bring to the first is enthusiasm!
