Description
Explore cheerful masses of Narcissus throughout the garden as you sample wine varietals perfect for spring. As you sip and stroll, enjoy live music and local plein-air artists. Stop by the library to explore botanical collections that have inspired generations of scholars, artists, and garden lovers.
Daffodils are one of the few plants Henry Franci du Pont would write about and one in which he maintained a lifelong interest. Winterthur is one of the few places in the country where you can see so many daffodils. Many that blossom here are historic cultivars from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
$50; $45 for Members. Includes tasting of four wines, Winterthur stemless wineglass, live music, and general admission. $25 for designated driver (includes one nonalcoholic beverage). Upgrade to a cozy private cabana for the day. $200 for two guests. Includes a snack box and one glass of wine per guest. To reserve a cabana, please call Information and Tours Office at 800.448.3883. Tickets are non-refundable within five days of the event and may not be exchanged for another date and time. This is a walking event with tasting stations located throughout the garden with uneven terrain along the way. This is a drop-in event so arrive when you wish and plan to spend approximately two hours. This is an outdoor event in the garden. Please be sure to dress for the weather and for walking on uneven terrain. Rain date: April 30.
