Swamp blues guitarist Walter Parks and drum groove-master Steven Williams unite as The Unlawful Assembly to re-imagine great southern U.S. spirituals, hollers, reels and work song. A truly unifying performance is performed with stories that pertain to the songs. Parks was the longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens. Williams played with Sade, Digable Planets and David Byrne. Walter last collaborated with Gooch when touring with his other group Swamp Cabbage.
