Casa de Venezuela presents its first cultural event at the Delaware Art Museum with an emerging Venezuelan artist, Juan Carlos Ruiz. Who will be in Delaware for the first time to play his third album titled, Venezuelan Songbook. (This concert will also feature some special local artists.)
Venezuelan Songbook, its an album inspired by the legendary American composer Sammy Cahn, who, in the 1970s, made English versions of some traditional Venezuelan songs written by the beloved Venezuelan artist, Aldemaro Romero.
Venezuelan Songbook contains seven traditional Venezuelan songs, all translated into English to support the internationalization of Venezuelan songwriters, revitalize Venezuelan arts and culture, and connect with American people in their own language but also connect and unify cultures but more importantly as a homage to the gracious welcome to Venezuelan immigrants into the United States of America.
