Huxley & Hiro offers a Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hour on the first Tuesday of every month from 5-6pm in partnership with Autistics of Delaware.
This hour is thoughtfully designed to support customers with sensory sensitivities. During this time, Huxley & Hiro will offer:
- No background music
- Dimmed lighting
- Limited employee interaction
- A curated selection of books for those who may find extended browsing overwhelming
Huxley & Hiro’s goal is to create a calmer, more comfortable environment for those who may find typical shopping experiences challenging.
Everyone is still welcome to shop during this time, the shop just asks that all visitors be mindful and respectful of the sensory-friendly atmosphere.
