YOU LIVED IT: #SummerOnMarket
This post appears courtesy of New Market Wilm, who features a new blog about Downtown Wilmington each and every Wednesday! View the original post here.
It was a summer of food, it was a summer of fashion.
It was a summer of music, it was a summer of dance.
It was a summer of birds and ballet, of bright lights over a big city, of new beer and bold prints, or art and adventure, of the Naked and Famous, all of them, sitting together, having dinner one night at La Fia.
It was #summeronmarket, and it exists now only in memory.
Oh, and the pictures. So many pictures you shared with us on Instagram.
You captured the energy of the Ladybug Music Festival and the People’s Fest, where no amount of heat or rain could dampen the enthusiasm of the crowds. You came hungry to new restaurants like Stitch House, Margaux and 218 Market. You had drinks. You got married. You had kids. You got a dog. You got a parrot. You met the governor. (Who didn’t?)
You lived it all on Market.
Can we pick favorites of all the photos that came in? We cannot. But when we close our eyes, we see dancers from First State Ballet Theatre dancing their way up and down Market; the models from Morgan’s of Delaware stopping traffic during First State Fashion Week; the design peeks into the upcoming DE.CO food hall; and that tuna tataki at La Fia. (Is it still on the menu? Yes!)
See the summer through the eyes of #summeronmarket, and share your memories with us too. Many will be included in our upcoming NewMarketWilm lookbook/poster – keep an eye out for it!
Summer doesn’t stay, but Instagram never forgets. Check out a summer full of memories on Market.
