Wilmington-based developer, The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. (BPG), and BPGS Construction celebrated the Grand Opening of their sixth residential community in Wilmington, Delaware, on January 30th 2015. Alongside major supporters of the project including Mayor Williams, Jeff Flynn, Director of Economic Development, Dr. Hanifa G.N. Shabazz, 4th District Council Member; Dr. Hare, Senior Vice President and Rob Buccini Co-President reminisced on how far the Riverfront has come.
From a dreary, abandoned shipyard to a vibrant, thriving neighborhood, the riverfront has come a long way. Dr. Hare reminded everyone during the event, “Tonight is a very significant occasion for a lot of reasons, because it reminds us all of the vibrancy of this riverfront, the vitality of this great city, and what can be done when people work together.”
The Residences of Harlan Flats is located at 401 Justison Street in the heart of the waterfront district. The community consists of 116 luxury apartments complete with amenities including a courtyard swimming pool, outdoor lounge with fire pit, and barbecue area, fitness center, garage parking, resident lounge and business center.
Following speeches and the ribbon cutting, around two-hundred guests enjoyed an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and drinks with live jazz music by the talented H. Wade Johnson humming away in the background. Many were impressed with the sparkling new community’s modern décor by Niles Bolton and Associates and impressive model decorated by Cort Furniture.
