The Delaware Blue Coats and The Buccini/Pollin Group announced today that the state-of-the-art 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware will host its first NBA G League game on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7:00 p.m. as the Blue Coats take on the Memphis Hustle.

In an effort to ensure that 76ers Fieldhouse delivers a world-class experience for our dedicated fans and the community while accommodating for some minor, weather-related construction delays, the new facility will host its first NBA G League game approximately three weeks later than first anticipated.

As a result, the Blue Coats have made the following schedule adjustments for the team’s next three home games:

  • January 4 vs. Grand Rapids has been moved to January 29 at 76ers Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m.
  • January 9 vs. Lakeland has been relocated to The Center in South Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m.
  • January 11 vs. Raptors 905 has been moved up to January 8 and relocated to The Center at 11:00 a.m.

Current ticket holders of one or all of these aforementioned games will be provided alternative options should they be unable to attend the adjusted games. Ticket holders can trade their tickets for a home game later in the season or receive a credit to their 2019-20 season renewal in the amount equal to the value of their tickets. Ticket holders for these games can call 302-504-7587 for support.

“Our partners at The Buccini/Pollin Group have done a remarkable job with construction of 76ers Fieldhouse and we’re excited to have our opening date set for Jan. 23,” Blue Coats President Larry Meli said. “We appreciate the support and patience of our fans as we prepare to usher in this new era of basketball in Delaware. We truly thank BPG, the City of Wilmington and the community for supporting our move to one of the country’s fast-rising cities.”

“We’re really excited that 76ers Fieldhouse will serve as home to Blue Coats basketball and as a beacon for youth within Wilmington and the tri-state area,” said Rob Buccini, Co-Founder of The Buccini/Pollin Group. “We appreciate the partnership of the Philadelphia 76ers and Delaware Blue Coats as we bring such a dynamic asset to the city. Although we’ve experienced some minor delays due to weather, nothing can dampen our excitement for the first official tip-off at 76ers Fieldhouse on Jan. 23.”
